My employer recently hired Heather to do touch-up make-up for company photos. In the few minutes I got to spend with her I could tell she just "got me". So I met with her later that week for a private makeup lesson at her home. Heather is great! She perfectly executed my makeup vision for both my engagement shoot & wedding-- I changed my vision close to my wedding, also, and she had no problem taking my ideas into account and executing them flawlessly. I went for a pink-toned natural but bronzy look with big Hollywood waves. I felt that my makeup looked super natural; I looked like me but elevated, which was why I was attracted to her makeup style in the first place. I was really scared about the makeup aspect during the wedding planning process initially, because I'm a bit particular about beauty and feel unlike myself with heavy makeup. To assemble the beauty team, Heather allowed me to choose from other hair and makeup artists she knew and suggested the proper # of artists in order to get everything done quickly and efficiently. The beauty team was for my wedding party of 4 women plus my mom's hair and makeup-- the schedule was really reasonable (started around 8am for a 4pm ceremony), was organized far in advance of my wedding day, and we were all finished with our services earlier than planned on the actual wedding day. It set the stage for my wedding day to be super stress-free, allowing for the ceremony to be on-time, which was my main concern of the day. My wedding party also was happy with their hair and makeup and the artists were receptive to any small adjustments that they asked for, and same for Heather with my own makeup. Overall, I just felt very taken care of by Heather because she was super organized and also talented at makeup! I wouldn't have changed anything about my appearance on the day of or about the beauty team she assembled :) I'd also note that my makeup stayed perfect all the way until I went to bed, even though it was a hot and humid day.
